Ann Grant was born in 1848 & died in 1914. The family were Otago early settlers from Scotland who arrived on the ship ‘Storm Cloud’ in 1861. In August 1872, Ann married John Bathgate whose family had arrived from Scotland on the ‘Pladda’ – also in 1861 John and Ann were the parents of George Thomas
